Teacup Erinyes Cosplay

I'm Izzi, otherwise known as Teacup. I've been cosplaying since 2007 when I started out with our group The Otaku Trioka.
Recently I've made the move towards cosplaying on my own, in the process making my way down a long list of dream costumes and now making costumes for others.
This blog is simply a picture blog of all my copslay progress and commissions, for those who want to follow me without following my gush of Disney in my main blog.
Feel free to contact me through this blog if you'd like to request a commission.

So, 5 years later I remake my original Anastasia costume… what a ridiculous difference.

Concept art Rapunzel at Ayacon Apocalypse.

Possibly the most feminine cosplay I’ve ever done, and all stitched up in 2 days. :P

Gun Mage Jane commission WIP 2. Terrible phone pics, but these show the paint work I’ve been working at. New fabric by Yasmia’s request, much more yellow.

Sleeves, Spats and belt work is in the works, but difficult to take pics of.

Commission progress on Skirtzz’s Gun Mage Jane design for Yasmia. Note that the stone/yellow fabric is just draped for now. So far only the petticoat and collar are in the works.

Scallop hem needs some fixing, but here’s an idea. Please forgive my camera being odd.

Work on Skirtzz’s Magus Sister Blue Fairy. This will be the shiniest costume I’ve ever made.

Mosiacs attached onto foam armour peices by hand, very early progress.

Georgette skirt spray dyed to gradient. Now has tiny rhinestones all over it.

Me as Penny from The Big Bang Theory.

Update

For anyone wondering why it’s been so long since my last Cosplay update, I’ve not fallen off the planet in an obscure quest to find better reference pictures for a Captain Amelia cosplay (that comes later); I have just been very very busy.

The last month I’ve been working on several projects which I’m being deliberately obscure about so that certain leeches don’t take all the fun out of them for me, but here’s the few things I can tell you:

  • One cosplay project involves more detail than my original Blue Fairy, and involves sorting impossibly tiny gold sequins into little boxes ready for embroidery.
  • Another means I’m up to my elbows in Glitter Modge Podge and mosiac peices most of the time this week. So much sparkle I’m afraid I might be blind by the time I wear it (take that Jareth!).
  • And the last I’m keeping top secret, as it’s a different version of a character I’ve cosplayed before and I love seing the surprise on people’s faces at the sight of a rarer outfit.

Also trying to finish off something that’s been in progress for over a year, which I will wear to LFCC in whatever stage of completion it’s in. Busy busy year, and that’s before I get started on commissions (look out for Sailor Moon and Dressphere progress in July) and some Tangled wig work.
